I think it would be cool if you do a spy fic like this:

So shinee never existed and the guys never got together and became singers, so
Instead the boys all were sent into a dangerous game. They all meet together in order to survive the game.

So basically the boys all differ in the fields of being a spy,
like key might be computer specialist our something, then they get
sent into the field.
