Long Rant About Dr. Who
I swear I can't go ONE day without posting something on LJ. Today I dedicate it to Dr. Who.
OMFG. I swear this show has me wrapped around it's little finger. I mean I started watching this back in college when my roommate said that it was the best thing on Earth. And I was all "you stole that off the snapple bottle."
She didn't.
Dr. Who IS ABOUT THE BEST THING ON EARTH, aside from you know Han Geng and Zhou Mi's legs. But, I mean if there is one thing that can sidetrack me it's Dr. Who. kpop? what kpop? I'm watching Dr. Who. This has been the story of my life for the past few days and today since I had nothing to do.
So, basically this is a sci-fi show, one of the longest running sci-fi shows. (If I don't mention this about a million times in this my roommate will kill me) It was off air for a while and they recently re-aired it back in 2005. (Now where the hell was I?) So far the show is on season 5. I'm still on Season 2 becausemy life sucks I'm kind of busy. Lots of people who've watched this show keep telling me things about the 11th Doctor and what not. Me? I am an Eccelston fan. I mean it's things like this that had me loving this guy. What's not to love? He has that smile and face and he says this like it's nothing. It's like "so, hey, yeah, I'm the boss."
ugh, okay but I am getting ahead of myself. The plot.
Dr. Who is an alien. His name's not actually Dr. Who. He's the Doctor. "Just the Doctor." (omg insert spazzing here) To cut it down and make it sound completely lame. It's an alien on a time machine, traveling through time with a girl. BUT IT'S JUST SO GOOD. I mean it's not stupid in any way. Like I said, I'm pretty new at this and I have nothing but my opinion on this, but Eccleston makes the first season so enjoyable. He's funny, fresh, has that smile all the timeand i love his accent. He is so perfect.
Too bad he doesn't last long.
They say Eccelston wasn't happy in his role. My roommate thinks it's because the Doctor is in love with the girl who travels with him (her name's Rose) and she's supposed to be 19 but the Doctoris like a billion looks kind of old. I don't know. The point is THEY TOOK ECCLESTON OFF
I'm told I will love the 11th Doctor (Eccleston was the 9th). Oh see there is this thing. The Doctor can regenerate. If he dies he can come back in another body (that's how they get rid of Eccleston in LIKE THREE EPISODES) So, when he diesa new season starts WITHOUT ECCLESTON he comes back, same memories from forever, just a different body.
Right, so onto Rose. She travels with the Doctor and is also in love with himlike I am. I don't know what to say about Rose. Sometimes I'm 8D and then sometimes I'm like :| She's in love with the Doctor. But she needs to...idk...she needs to something to make me love her. I just kind of don't. I did love her in the first season BECAUSE I LOVE THE FIRST SEASON OMFG.
WHAT IS THERE NOT TO LOVE ABOUT THIS
And then they killed Eccleston. (So he goes down in a ball or glory. idgaf WHY IS HE NOT HERE?) I am trying to love the 10th Doctor (David Tennant) but it's kind of hard. I'm a tad bit biased you see. Impossible I know :| I'm not saying the show is bad because it's not. I love season two (or love it so far since I'm not that far in), but I miss Eccleston.
Anyway. I recommend this series. It's is perfect and MADE OF THE BEST STUFF ON EARTH. no joke.
