Just a Small Sprain
Title: Just a Small Sprain
Pairing: Kyumin, some Hanchul, superninja!eunhae (like so ninja that if you blink you miss it)
Genre: some fluff, slight humor
Rating: PG-13 (for some use of language)
Summary: Of all the people Kyuhyun could have run into when he was drunk, he had to run into Heechul. Heechul who just loves to make his life harder than it has to be. As if he didn't have enough problems already.
Notes: This one is for my Kyumin/Eunhae family because I owe them something nice =)
A/N: So I haven't written kyumin in a while and since at the moment my current AU refuses to cooperate. I mean it's going well just I need to fix some things and it wasn't working with me. So I decided to put out some work in progress stuff and then my LJ children and my LJ sister all wanted Kyumin and I thought why not since this was already half formed in my head and I needed something light and fluffy and slightly humorous to get me back on the writing track. So here it is. Some kyumin for the kyumin family and some ninja!eunhae too. And some hanchul for me XD and everyone else out there who loves them <3 Enjoy my not angst phase while it lasts and I shall have the next Chapter of R.I.J.A.G before the end of this week =)
Kyuhyun was not sure what had gotten into him. Of all the people in the world, of all the hyungs in the dorm, of all the sane people out there, he had to stumble across Heechul when he was drunk. Heechul. Just…why Heechul? Why couldn’t he have walked in front of a car and died instead? Why couldn’t he have walked in on Eunhae naked again? Anything, but nooooo. He had to come home, almost passed out drunk and fall right on Heechul who was sleeping on the couch.
“oomph.”
Kyuhyun looked down. He was trying to figure out how it was that couches could talk because the last thing he remembered, couches just didn’t talk.
“Kyuhyun, what the fuck? What the hell are you doing? Get off of me.”
“Hyung?” Kyuhyun asked blinking as he tried to make out who exactly was on the couch.
Hyung he assumed was the best way to go since everyone in this darn group was his hyung.
“Get off.” The lump on the couch who happened to be a person said.
Kyuhyun put both hands on the couch and shoved. He managed to get into a sort of seated position as he tried to focus on who exactly was on the couch. He blinked as the lights came on and saw that it was none other than Kim Heechul. Great.
“What are you doing home so late?” Heechul asked sitting down on the same couch but as far away from him as possible.
“I don’t know. Where is everyone?” Kyuhyun asked looking around the living room as if the rest of Super Junior would just jump out from behind the chairs.
“They’re not here.” Heechul said. “Obviously we all have schedules to go to and they’re sleeping. No one knew where you were and Leeteuk was going crazy saying how you could have been kidnapped by crazy fan girls. Kangin had to drag him away to their room and keep him busy. Donghae wanted to go look for you, Eunhyuk stopped him. And when Hankyung called you on your phone you said you were with a girl and that we should leave you alone. So, everyone went to bed.”
“Then what are you doing here hyung?” Kyuhyun asked still trying to wrap his mind around Heechul’s fast Korean.
“I am here because Leeteuk insisted that there had to be someone to wait for you until you got home. He also asked me tell you that he sincerely hopes you used protection because he doesn’t want the headlines to read “Cho Kyuhyun of Super Junior Soon to be Father” in nine months. Hankyung said to wake him when you got home so that he could make you something to eat, but that’s not going to happen because Hankyung’s only allowed to cook for me, so if you’re hungry I’ll go wake Ryeowook who said I should.”
Heechul paused and Kyuhyun marveled at how fast Kim Heechul could talk. Now he knew what it felt like to be Hankyung. It was a surprise the two could understand each other at all with the way Heechul seemed to ramble along. Kyuhyun blinked again. He had heard the words “food” and “Ryeowook” so he just nodded and hoped someone made him something to eat.
“Stop nodding, you look like your head’s about to fall off.” Heechul snapped. “Now if you don’t mind I want to go to bed so tell me what you want.”
“Food.” Kyuhyun said. “Where’s Sungmin?”
Heechul raised an eyebrow. “Sungmin is sleeping and wants you to know what he could give a damn what you were doing with a girl and that he hopes she bit your…uh….yeah….off and that you had the worst experience of your life. But, Shindong wanted me to high five you. Something about not being the only straight man in Super Junior.”
Kyuhyun shook his head. “Why would Sungmin hyung want anyone to bite…wait, what?”
Heechul heaved an exasperated sigh and walked into the kitchen muttering something about ungrateful magnaes and how he was going to have to do everything himself. Kyuhyun followed him and took a seat at the table. He knew it was too much to hope for that Heechul make him food, but he put on his best pathetic expression and waited for some sympathy.
He managed to keep it up for about half a second before it collapsed under the self-righteous side of him that was disgusted that he would stoop so low. He reasoned with this side that he was drunk and hungry and that Heechul was his only hope since he could do little more than concentrate on breathing and walking. Suffice to say his self-righteous side was not happy.
“Sungmin is going to start dating Siwon.” Heechul said casually as he placed a glass of milk in front of Kyuhyun.
It took Kyuhyun five seconds longer than normal to process that information. That meant that he had taken a huge gulp of milk when Heechul’s words sank in. Said milk ended up all over the table, the table cloth and barely missed Heechul’s shirt.
“HE IS WHAT?”
“HE IS DATING SIWON.” Heechul yelled back. “Geez, what are you drunk and deaf?”
“And what are you?” Kyuhyun snapped.
“I don’t know why you’re so upset.” Heechul said taking Kyuhyun’s empty glass and dumping it in the sink. “It’s not like you should care. Siwon is good looking. He’s ridiculously polite and he’ll be nice to Sungmin.”
Kyuhyun glared at the back of Heechul’s head. He looked back down at the table and made a mental note to get Leeteuk to change the tablecloths. Stupid things. He knew he shouldn’t have agreed to support Sungmin’s choice. Who ever heard of pink tablecloths?
“I’m going to sleep.” Kyuhyun said getting up and missing the way Heechul smirked.
He managed to get to his room without knocking anything over, but that might have been just because there really was nothing to knock over. He slipped inside and saw Sungmin sleeping. Kyuhyun frowned. Stupid Siwon. Stupid Sungmin. He went over to his bed, picked up his pillow and threw it at Sungmin’s head. It missed, hit the desk lamp and knocked it over with a noise that would have woken up even Kangin.
“Kyuhyun? You’re back?” Sungmin asked stirring in bed.
“No. I’m still at the club.” Kyuhyun said rolling his eyes as if Sungmin could see him in the pitch black room.
“Well than I hope you’re having fun with your girlfriend.”
“But I wasn’t with a girl.” Kyuhyun said confused at this whole girl talk.
Kyuhyun frowned. He hadn’t been with a girl…wait…no…he hadn’t. He couldn’t have been with a girl. He had been out drinking with Zhou Mi and somewhere along the night Zhou Mi had disappeared with some girl. They were discussing something about designer handbags or something. Kyuhyun had lost track of him after that and then he’d stumbled home sometime later.
Sungmin sighed. “Go to sleep Kyuhyun.”
Kyuhyun frowned. “Okay.”
He started pulling at his clothes, lost his balance and ended half on his bed. Sungmin took pity on him after he failed to get out of his pants. Kyuhyun yawned as Sungmin tucked him into bed and drifted off to sleep. He dreamt Siwon was his horse.
***
He woke up the next morning with the worst hangover he had ever experienced in his life. Heechul did nothing to help, just kept running past him and murmuring Simin. It made Kyuhyun want to punch the other man, but he didn’t want Hankyung to martial art him to death either. It didn’t help that Sungmin was practically attached to Siwon the whole damn day.
Kyuhyun had to watch how they talked and laughed and he wanted to go punch Siwon’s perfect face in. The problem was he’d need to put on thirty pounds of muscle in the next five minutes to do that and for some reason he didn’t think he’d be able to do that. Kyuhyun said nothing just watched Sungmin and Siwon wishing someone would go over there and beat up Siwon. He looked over at Hankyung and sighed. Not only was Hankyung too small, he was also too damn nice.
“Kyuhyun, can we talk to you for a second?”
Kyuhyun looked up at Hankyung who had a death grip on a very pissed looking Heechul.
“Sure.” Kyuhyun shrugged. “It’s not like I have anything to do.”
Kyuhyun followed Heechul and Hankyung to the living room. He sat down and watched as Hankyung wrestled Heechul down on the couch. He laughed when Hankyung half sat on Heechul.
“Get off! You’re heavy.” Heechul complained.
“That’s not what you say at night.” Hankyung said promptly shutting Heechul up.
“Okay, Kyuhyun, what’s wrong?” Hankyung asked once Heechul had settled down more comfortably on his lap.
“Nothing.” Kyuhyun said managing to keep his depression down to the my-life-sucks sort and not the let-a-car-run-over-me-now type.
“Is it about Sungmin?” Heechul asked.
“No.” Kyuhyun said. “Yes.”
“Heechul tell him.” Hankyung said.
Kyuhyun looked up. Tell him what?
“I don’t want to.”
“Heechul.” Hankyung said in that I-love-you-but-you-have-to-be-nice-now voice.
“No.” Heechul said crossing his arms. “Serves him right for being so dense.”
“Heechul.” Hankyung repeated his mouth a lot closer to Heechul’s ear now.
Kyuhyun weighed the pros and cons of emptying his stomach. On the one hand if he did then this fluffy nonsense in front of him would stop. But, then again, if he did he’d have to clean it up…unless. He glanced at Heechul who had his head tilted up towards Hankyung’s. If Hankyung managed to grab Heechul on time then he could escape and hide out somewhere until Heechul got over him throwing up all over him. The only problem was that there was a possibility that Hankyung might not grab Heechul in time, not to mention that Heechul had the memory of a scorned teenage girl.
“So no.” Kyuhyun sighed.
“No, what?” Heechul snapped looking at him.
“Heechul tell him.”
“I don’t want to.” Heechul said.
“If you don’t tell him then we can’t go into our room because I’m going to have to comfort Kyuhyun and protect Siwon. I’m going to have to return those handcuffs.” Hankyung said.
Kyuhyun decided that maybe throwing up was the best option.
“Alright,” Heechul said. “You, magnae, Sungmin isn’t going to date Siwon. He likes you and you’re being a jerk. Go find him, make out and be happy. Alright, now, you, in the room. Now.”
Kyuhyun blinked. He opened his mouth to question Heechul some more, but he was already gone. Kyuhyun debated going after him, then decided that for his sanity he’d better not. He’d…well, great, he couldn’t wait for Heechul to come out because this was Hanchul they were talking about. Hanchul just…they were Hanchul.
“I hate Heechul.” Kyuhyun muttered flopping down on the couch.
“Why?”
“Because he’s making my head hurt.” Kyuhyun said without thinking. “He says Sungmin likes me. Why would Sungmin like me? Sungmin’s with Mr. Perfect Abs. As if Siwon were that special. He moves around too much. Too good looking if you ask me.”
“I like Siwon.”
Kyuhyun turned around to tell whoever was talking to him off because, hello, this was about him not Siwon. The problem was that of course as soon as he turned around he came face to face with Sungmin. Two options. One, he ran for it, locked himself in his room and survived off of StarCraft and the snacks he’d stolen…uh…borrowed from Henry until this blew over. Two, he got up now, left, changed his name to Choi Sung…kyung or something and lived his life making Super Junior rag dolls and selling them to fan girls.
Both options had their appeal and then the not so nice part to them. Option one gave him the option of finally catching up on his StarCraft playing since he’d been neglecting his poor baby…uh laptop. And those snacks of Henry’s really hit the spot late at night when he was hungry so he’d never go hungry, although he would have to ration everything. The main problem with option one was that the room was also Sungmin’s and Leeteuk might have a problem if Sungmin went to complain about Kyuhyun not letting him in. Not to mention that he’d have to come out for schedules.
Option two was a lot more appealing. He’d change his name and then he’d be able to do whatever he had never been allowed to do as a member of Super Junior. He could stay out past curfew, eat whatever he wanted, bathe when he pleased. He’d never wear make up again. He would be free forever. Free to do what he wanted. The problem with this was that he would have to keep making rag dolls for the rest of his life and he wasn’t very good. That and he’d never see Sungmin ever again with a name like Choi Sungkyung no one would be able to find him.
Kyuhyun sighed. There was another option. A much more appealing option that he wasn’t considering. He looked at Sungmin. Yes, there was one more thing he could do. This last option was all positive. What could possibly go wrong?
He glanced at Sungmin, shrugged and jumped him.

“So, explain to me again, how is that you two ended up together.” Heechul laughed squirming with mirth against Hankyung who just looked like he wanted to sleep.
Kyuhyun didn’t blame him. It was a ridiculous hour to be up. But, Heechul had caught him and Sungmin pressed up against the living room wall and he’d demanded to know when the world had fallen so out of order.
“You’re supposed to be miserable.” Heechul had said pointing at Kyuhyun.
Now, Heechul, Hankyung, Sungmin and himself were sitting in the living room waiting for Heechul to decide that he’d heard enough about their love life. Heechul, however didn’t seem to be content yet. He’d screamed with laughter when he first heard the story. Hankyung had only chuckled politely calling them adorable. It had been fine with Kyuhyun, but now they were on the fifth retelling of the story and it was starting to get boring, not to mention that he’d rather be in his and Sungmin’s room doing other things.
“I told you.” Sungmin said clearly on his last ounce of patience. “Kyuhyun got off the couch and came at me, but he tripped over the small table we have there and hit his wrist. He ended up falling on me and we both fell. Then, we got up and had to go bandage his wrist because he sprained it.”
Heechul rolled over hitting Hankyung’s arm as he laughed. “I can’t believe you still ended up together after that.”
“I told you I didn’t care.” Sungmin said. “I love Kyuhyun.”
“And I love you too Min.” Kyuhyun said taking Sungmin’s hand.
“Wow.” Heechul laughed. “Okay you two can go to your room now since that’s obviously what you’re dying to do. Just make sure not to trip over something on the way there Kyuhyun. You don’t want to break something important. Sungmin needs it for later.”
Kyuhyun cursed under his breath and followed Sungmin back to their room leaving behind Heechul and Hankyung who just curled up on the couch together.
“It was just a small sprain.”
“I know.” Sungmin said hugging him. “I know.”

“I know.”
