Title: Things Happen IV 3/9 (part of the Golden Boy AU)
Pairing: Main!Kyumin, side: Hanchul, Eunhae, Yewon
Rating: PG-13
Genre: drama, romance
A/N: Hey there my lovely dearies. Okay so as some of you may have seen I started posting another fic. This means a few things:
1. I will be updating this fic less frequently. It will be updated Tuesdays (today), Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays.
2. I will be updating the new fic It's High School on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
3. I don't really know, but I felt since I had a 1 and a 2 I might as well have a 3.
So, here is the new Kyumin chapter for the Golden Boy AU and tomorrow I am going to post chapter 2 of It's High School. I think that I needed a break from my Golden Boys and![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
ink_river10 put Hanchul back together again and she deserved this fic and I needed to write it for her. So, yeah =) So enjoy this chapter and this fic will see you on Thursday. <3
“Date?” Yesung and Siwon both asked.
Kyuhyun rolled his eyes at their embarrassment. It was so dumb. The two really needed to be locked up in a room and left to deal with it. He assumed there would be many things to deal with if those two were ever left alone together, but he didn’t think he was ready to think about that. And besides, in a closed room, no one would know who gave in first.
“Yes. Date.” Sungmin said pulling Siwon along.
“Come on hyung.” Kyuhyun said taking Yesung’s hand and pulling him in front of Sungmin and Siwon.
He waited until he was sure that Siwon was looking before he put an arm around Yesung, the way Siwon liked to do.
“Hyung.” Kyuhyun said. “Can I ask you a question?”
“Sure Kyuhyun.”
“Who do you think sings better?” he paused as he considered his question. “Me or Siwon hyung?”
He watched as Yesung thought it over, but he knew what his hyung would answer before Yesung even opened his mouth. Yesung never lied and that came useful in situations like these.
“You, but that doesn’t mean that Siwon doesn’t have a nice voice.”
Kyuhyun smiled and sneaked a peek at Siwon. The older man looked like he wanted to strangle Kyuhyun and it was only Sungmin’s hand on his arm that kept him back. Kyuhyun met his eyes and the smile turned into a smirk
Come and get him if you want him. Come. He’s right here. Come on Siwon, I need to win that bet.
But, of course, Siwon didn’t hear his thoughts and he did nothing; not that that surprised Kyuhyun. Siwon was not the type to take the initiative. And even knowing that he had taken Yesung’s side because he knew that Yesung was not the type to give in when someone asked something of him.
Yesung would never pressure Siwon. Not matter how much Yesung wanted to be with Siwon, he would never say anything, not until Siwon said something first. The probabilities of Kyuhyun being the winner were very high.
“Kyuhyun?”
“Yes?” Kyuhyun answered Sungmin. “What do you want…hyung?”
“Why are we going to the dorms, let’s just go to the date now. We have nothing else to do and if we leave early, we’ll be able to do more things.”
Kyuhyun turned to Yesung. “Yesungie, do you have anything to do?”
“No.” Yesung shook his head. “I’m free right now, but I need to call Hankyung.”
“Why?” Siwon asked.
Kyuhyun smirked. “Because, he needs to call Hankyung hyung that’s why hyung.”
“You’re always calling him. What does he need to know now?” Siwon asked ignoring Kyuhyun.
“He needs to know that I won’t be home because he always worries and I don’t want to worry him.” Yesung answered as he dialed.
“You two aren’t married.” Siwon continued in a much less calm voice than Yesung.
Kyuhyun moved over to Sungmin. He watched as the other two argued and leaned down.
“You can just give up right now Minnie, you know I won.”
“You haven’t won anything Cho Kyuhyun.” Sungmin answered just as coldly.
“Hey, Min, if I do something promise you won’t get jealous?”
Kyuhyun smiled into Sungmin’s glaring face and walked over to the pair. Yesung was trying very hard to ignore Siwon as he talked to Hankyung, but Siwon was trying very hard not to be ignored. Kyuhyun’s appearance distracted Siwon enough so that Yesung could finish his conversation.
When he hung up, Kyuhyun took his hand again and frowned at Siwon.
“Hyung, I think we should go now. Maybe this whole double date thing isn’t going to work.”
“It’s not a date!” Siwon and Yesung said.
Kyuhyun pouted, actually pouted. He was going to end up as bad as Sungmin if Siwon didn’t do something quick. But, all’s fair in love and war and this was a bit of both.
“Fine.” He said turning away so that only Sungmin could see his evil smile. “Don’t care about how I feel. Just throw me away like that. Can’t you even humor me a little and go along with it?”
“Kyuhyun.” Yesung said putting a hand on his shoulder.
Kyuhyun shrugged it off and smiled at Sungmin’s disbelieving face.
“No. It’s okay. I get it. I ask for too much. I guess I’ll just go to my room now.”
“Kyuhyunnie.” Yesung said and Kyuhyun let himself be turned. “I do care about how you feel and if you want to call it a double date then we can do that. Let’s go.”
“Okay!” Kyuhyun said ignoring Siwon as he took Yesung’s hand.
He walked off leading the way. “Where do you want to go?”
“Anywhere. Maybe we could have some coffee too.” Yesung said. “What do you think Sungmin, Siwon?”
“I hate coffee.” Siwon answered promptly.
“Liar.” Yesung said. “You love coffee.”
“NO.” Siwon pouted. “I hate coffee.”
“Well, Yesung hyung likes coffee or more like loves it so, we’ll go get coffee after the movie and you two can go home if you want.” Kyuhyun said.
“We didn’t say we didn’t want coffee.” Sungmin amended. “Siwon just said he doesn’t like it. We can still have coffee and it’s not like they only serve coffee wherever we’re going.”
“I’ll go get coffee.” Siwon said. “I’ll go only because Sungmin wants to go.”
Kyuhyun felt Yesung stiffen besides him and he frowned. Yesung was not going to give in. He was not going to lose. He paused for a minute to consider what he did next. He really, honestly and truly loved Yesung and worried about him. Who wouldn’t?
But, he was also aware that this was a game between him and Sungmin. He knew he was using Yesung and playing with Siwon to get what he wanted and Sungmin was doing the same. He knew he wanted Yesung to be happy and he knew he wanted Siwon to be remotely happy (Siwon still deserved some punishment for being such a coward).
In his opinion, he was actually helping them along. He was making them both realize, but mostly Siwon, that they were meant for each other. He and Sungmin were doing both of them good. And he just got carried away when it came to games.
“Yesung?” Kyuhyun said leaning into his hyung. “Can I ask you another question?”
“No.”
“Siwon hyung, I wasn’t talking to you.” Kyuhyun said a smile gracing his face. “I was talking to Yesung hyung.”
“Sure, go ahead.” Yesung said smiling fondly.
“If you had to pick between me and Hankyung hyung, who would you pick?”
Kyuhyun saw the small frown on Yesung’s face, but he purposefully did not clarify. He wanted to see Siwon squirm so he turned to look at the other man and boy was Siwon mad. He glared at Kyuhyun in a way that would have made a lesser man run for cover. All it did was amuse Kyuhyun.
“I don’t know…understand what you’re asking me.” Yesung said. “If just in general then, Hankyung, but only because I’ve known him longer.”
Kyuhyun smirked at Siwon’s less than amused face.
“Okay, I understand. I pick Hankyung hyung too. What about Hankyung and Siwon?”
“What about Hankyung and Siwon?” Yesung asked.
Kyuhyun had to congratulate Yesung. He was doing a good job of getting out of answering. Kyuhyun decided to let it go since Siwon looked like he really wanted to know and Kyuhyun wasn’t going to let him have that satisfaction.
He took Yesung’s hand again and they started walking again. Sungmin came to stand next to him, but kept Siwon away from Yesung and Kyuhyun.
“What movie do you want to watch?” Sungmin asked.
“Let’s watch something scary.” Kyuhyun said.
“No.” Yesung interjected. “You know I don’t like scary movies.”

But, no, no Choi Siwon to the rescue this time Kyuhyun thought. This was all for Kyuhyun. He was going to make sure Yesung was scared, so scared that they’d have to walk out of the theater and he was going to see exactly how long Siwon would last.
“Don’t worry hyung. I’m not scared. I’ll protect you.” Kyuhyun said with a wink at Sungmin.
“He doesn’t need you to protect him.” Siwon said. “Because, we’re not watching a scary movie. We’re going to go see a romantic comedy or something else that’s safe.”
“But, hyung, romantic comedies are for girls. Guys watch scary movies.” Kyuhyun said playing his part of the innocent and demanding maknae.
“Well,” Sungmin started. “Masculinity here is a bit of an iffy topic. Who can really say how manly anyone is.”
“I said guys not manliness. I’m a guy.” Kyuhyun smirked as he eyed Sungmin. “Aren’t you a guy? Or have you been lying to me all this time?”
“Do you want to find out?” Sungmin asked, his tone suggesting something.
Kyuhyun liked it. He wasn’t a liar. He wasn’t going to say that Sungmin had no effect on him. He did. It was as simple as that.
“No thank you. I have Yesung. I don’t need you.” Kyuhyun answered.
He watched Sungmin’s irritated face and realized that Siwon wasn’t the only one having a hard time controlling his temper. The discovery did wonders for his ego.
He was definitely happy now.
And he knew that Sungmin wasn’t going to last much longer. He was going to make sure of that, because no one, no one could ever resist Cho Kyuhyun.
