Things Happen I 12/14

A/N: I lied. Here is the next chapter. I updated because you guys are super awesome and went to comment and I love you all so here is some more Eunhae for you all. Be warned, this is just Eunhae. No Hanchul or Yewook here because I couldn't find a way to squeeze them in and because Eunhae needs this chapter and the ones that come after.

“Is it going to work?” Donghae asked for the hundredth time.

He was being annoying he knew, but he just wanted it to work so badly. He saw Hankyung shake his head and was glad that he was a patient enough man.

“I told you it was going to work. It would have worked sooner if your cousin weren’t such a baby. I mean how dense must you be. He never even talked to the girl. Why would it take him that long to realize that she was lying?”

“He’s an idiot.” Donghae answered happily.

They were outside of his father’s office. Hankyung had taken him to breakfast and then straight to his cousin’s house. Donghae still wasn’t sure what happened after Hankyung locked himself away with his cousin. He had sat quietly and all he knew was that after ten minutes, his cousin had come out apologizing and muttering nonsense.

Apparently, his idiot of a cousin was in love with Yoona’s sister. He knew the child wasn’t his, but he was covering for Yoona’s sister who didn’t even deserve a name. He had even convinced himself that the child was his. It made Donghae sad to think that that would be the man in charge of a good percentage of their company. He’d have to make a mental note to demote the man.

“Donghae, your father says you can come in.” the secretary said.

Donghae nodded and walked in. Hankyung followed him, dragging Donghae’s cousin behind him. His father’s office was black, dead, just like his father’s mood. Donghae didn’t like it, but he said nothing.

“Donghae. Nice to see son. You don’t look well, is something wrong?”

Donghae hid his surprise. His father had actually noticed that something was wrong. Did he really look that bad?

“Who is this?” his father asked.

“This is my friend Hankyung or Han Geng is his real name. We go to school together.” Donghae answered.

“Oh a Han? From the Han-Chen family?”

“No, sir.” Hankyung answered. “Just a Han from northeastern China. I’m a scholarship student.”

“Well, good for you son. It’s not easy getting into that school. You must be good. We’re going to have to give you a job here one day. But, Donghae, what’s the matter?”

Donghae said nothing. He went over and took his cousin away from Hankyung. He shoved him forward and waited. When his cousin said nothing, he started.

“Yoona’s sister is pregnant. But, it’s not his child. He’s covering for her because he says he loves her. Can you disown him already so that I can go back to my normal life? I can’t stand Yoona. She’s bothersome. I don’t understand why you would even think about marrying us into that family. She doesn’t leave me alone. I look like this because of her.”

“Well, son, marriage isn’t easy. If it was then it wouldn’t be marriage. But, as for you, Lee-sshi, I’m sending you back to that school. Unless, of course, you want to marry Yoona’s sister.”

“I do.”

Donghae rolled his eyes at Hankyung. “Father, can I dump Yoona now?”

“Of course, you didn’t have to date her. I talked to her father two weeks ago. He knows you and his daughter have nothing and will never have anything.”

Donghae’s mouth dropped open. He saw Hankyung’s outraged look and reached forward to stop him from saying anything.

“I think I can go now.” Donghae said.

His father just nodded and he left.

“What the hell was that?” Hankyung asked when they were parking in the school grounds.

“My father is very oblivious on certain occasions. He’s been like that ever since my mother left. He means well.” Donghae said, too relieved to be angry.

“You know what this means right?” He asked Hankyung as they climbed stairs.

“What?”

“I can tell Hyukkie.”

He waited for something from Hankyung, but got silence. He looked back at the other man and saw something similar to sadness.

“What?” He asked afraid for some reason.

“I think you should wait. Go let go of Yoona immediately, before she kills you. Then, let me talk to Eunhyuk. I won’t tell him what happened. I’ll just tell him that you and Yoona aren’t together anymore. He’ll need time to process that. When it’s been a while then, tell him. It’ll make it easier for him to understand what you did. You don’t want to pile him with good news and have him get angry at you.”

Donghae said nothing. He knew Hankyung was right. He had to give Eunhyuk time.

Time.

Like always, he had to wait. But, now it was a good wait. Now, he could have something to look forward to.

He sighed. “I understand. I have to go now. I need to get rid of Yoona. Thank you for everything, hyung.”

Hankyung smiled at him. “It was nothing and tell your F4 that I’m a lot more useful than they think.”

Hankyung left him. He walked back to his dorm. It was fine. He was fine. He was free and that was all that really mattered right now. He half ran to his room to tell Wookie and Heechul the news. He opened the door and ran in.

“Wookie.” He yelled laughing as he danced into the kitchen.

He stopped when he saw who else was in the kitchen. There was Ryeowook and standing next to him and holding a box was Eunhyuk. Eunhyuk blushed furiously when they looked at each other.

“I, uh, I,” Eunhyuk started. “I…here.”

Donghae took the box. He looked at it and saw that it was a lunchbox. He opened it and inside was everything he loved to eat. He looked back up at Eunhyuk who was busy looking at his shoes.

“I…” He didn’t know what to say.

“I…you don’t look so good lately. Yoona must not be taking good care of you and I thought I’d get you something since she’s not doing anything. I don’t exactly know how to cook so, I asked Wookie to help me. I hope you like it and…I’ll just go.” Eunhyuk said blushing furiously and backing away.

“Wait, thank you.” He called after Eunhyuk.

“Go after him.” Wookie said.

“I can’t, not yet.” Donghae said.

He looked down at the lunchbox in his hands. He smiled. He didn’t want to eat it. He just wanted to look at it and know that Eunhyuk made it for him. He took it to his room anyway and ate it. Then, he washed the lunchbox and put it next to the necklace box beside his bed. He turned away and it wasn’t until he was knocking on Yoona’s door that he realized that he didn’t have the silver ring.
