Heart Attack Exchange 2020
Hello and thank you for taking the time to make something for me. I enjoy fic and art both and I'm very easy to please. I can guarantee that I will love anything you create so long as it avoids my DNWs. I understand this exchange is writing 10k in 2 weeks so I wanted to make sure that I provide both enough leeway for interpretation and specific prompts to hopefully help ease the process. But please don't feel the need to follow the prompts exactly. They are meant as inspiration.
Below you can find general likes/dislikes/DNWs and fandom and pairing specific prompts. I'm open to any rating and would enjoy a gen fic as much as I would enjoy a shippy, rated E fic.

I enjoy receiving any kind of art and don't have a preferred style. Whatever style you like best is going to be 100% okay with me. Seriously, art would be amazing. I know the nature of this exchange requires a story told through art so feel free to look through the fandom specific prompts and the general likes.
As for things I like to look at in art in general, I am a fan of monochromatic drawings with minimal use of color to highlight specific parts. For example, a black and white drawing of a forest and a lake, where the only blue part is the lake is 100% guaranteed to bring me joy. I also like digital art and I once saw this person make a whole non-word comic out of yarn and it was glorious, so please don't feel constricted by any of the examples I may list.

* PWP. Though I wouldn't mind receiving an M/E rated fic, I would prefer that the story not be centered solely on the two characters having sex.
* omega verse, A/B/O, mpreg
* rape, non-con, dub-con. The only exception to the dub-con being two characters who are in an established relationship getting drunk together and then sleeping with each other.
* underage. Though some of the fandoms listed below have characters that are underage at some point in the series, I would prefer that if the fic is shippy in nature, there be no sex between underage characters.
* large age gaps, meaning that if characters are between 20 and 25 years old, the age gap be no larger than 3 years between them. I would prefer to keep teenagers in relationships with teenagers and adults in relationships with adults. I understand that some of the fandoms have age gaps ranging from 40 years to 329834o93 years, so for cases where the age gaps exist in canon, that is okay to keep.

* I enjoy the whole immortals trying to fit into an ever-changing world and the angst of surviving when everyone you know is gone. Anything about Booker and his back story would be great and how that contrasts with Nille and her family/her choices on how to handle being immortal but having her brother and mother still alive.
* I also like the idea of Nile, as the youngest immortal, being the most forgiving. What does she do now that Booker is in exile for 100 years? Does she text him? Does she write him letters? Does Booker write letters and leave them all over the place and then just texts Nile a picture of some statue with no context whatsoever? Do the others know?

* There is a gifset floating around tumblr that shows the way Andy is most truthful about how hurt/tired she is when she's with Nile. I would love any exploration, whether shippy or not, about the development of that relationship. What does it mean that Andy is so open with Nile? Why does she choose Nile and not any of the others? What does it mean for their future that Andy is now mortal?
* I would love a case fic where Andy and Nile have to go undercover as wives/girlfriends in order to take down a drug smuggling ring or whatever other scenario you can picture. Essentially, I am just here for case fic with pretend dating/marriage. You can go shippy or not, I am 100% here for it. Am also here for the other characters' reactions.

* How does Quynh deal with knowing that her friends moved on without her? Is she hurt? Does she understand? Has she found her own group of friends and built a family with them? Does she also have an ex-CIA operative who helps her track down meaningful jobs that can make the world a better place? Is it Copley?
Joe / Nicky
* Every exchange I roll up and just casually drop PIRATE AU into the letters but here me out. The Golden Age of Piracy but with Joe and Nicky. I would also be open to all of the old guard just running around in gay gay 1600s pirate land. Descriptions of beaches, ships, the ocean are all 100% welcome. You could simply write me 10k of just world building and a single "and then Joe and Nicky kissed" and I would be happy. Alternatively, you could have pirates but in space and then Nile could be in it as well. (Also, let's be honest, you can handwave canon and add her into any situation.) But for real, are Joe and Nicky the most feared pirates in all the land? Does Joe wear a very fashionable pirate hat? Does Andy Captain the fastest ship on both the Eastern and Western coast? How many English and Spanish ships do they capture? Where do they hide all the treasure?
* You can choose any time period you would like and tell me what Joe and Nicky were doing? How was their relationship going? If it was early in their relationship, how did they get together? What roadblocks did they encounter along the way that might have been difficult to work out but that ultimately made them realize they want to be together forever? What cases were they working on? Were they alone or with Andy and Quynh, maybe Booker?
* Slice of life. Just give me Nicky and Joe doing normal couple things. Cleaning out their home, fighting over who has to wash the dishes, buying each other anniversary presents, cooking together, throwing a party, meeting people at the club and then going, "oh, so sorry for the misunderstanding, please meet my husband," going on dates, taking a year off and opening a bakery or a bookstore.

I am a fan of Latina Isabelle and how the show attempted to show it in the first season. But I am well aware of the delicate intricacies of casting a white dude as her brother even though they're supposed to be genetic siblings and that would make Alec Lightwood partially Latino. So for the purposes of this exchange, I am okay with not making references to her being Latina so long as she's not whitewashed in art.
Isabelle / Clary
* Isabelle Lightwood is the love of my life and so anything with Isabelle and her relationships with her family. An exploration of her relationship with her mom: what does it mean for Maryse that Isabelle's weapon of choice is rare and non conforming. What is Isabelle's relationship with her brothers. Please include Jace. I would take a gen fic of just Isabelle and her familial relationships. Please just give me lots of Jace and Isabelle hugs because they deserve it.
* Does Clary get her memories back? Does she remember Isabelle? Were they together before and or does Clary remember that she was in love with Isabelle? What happens next? Also would like case fic with Isabelle and Clary going hunting together.
* Snippets of Isabelle's dating life, the people she's met, how they changed or didn't change her life. Maybe Clary's asked Isabelle to marry her and it threw Isabelle for a loop and she's trying to figure out what to do. Maybe Isabelle needs to take a moment for herself and says no and then she and Clary meet up years later. Do they rekindle their romance? Is Clary still in love with Isabelle? Give me all that angsty pining and getting back together.
Jace / Simon
* Simon and Jace have this awesome bantering happening between them and I like that they have a reluctant friend thing going on. I would love a rivals to friends to lovers fic with them. It can be in the Shadowhunters canon or maybe they're in rival frats? Rival tech companies? Love that jock falls in love with local hot nerd trope. Give me all that tropey goodness.
* I enjoy canon AUs, so anything with Simon staying a vampire and how that affects his relationship with Jace would be nice.
* Maybe Simon doesn't know anything about the Shadow World and first comes in contact with it when Clary shows up at his door with some bleeding blond dude. What does Simon do? Who convinces Alec not to wipe Simon's memory?
* break up and make up fic is always great. I enjoy the angst of Simon thinking he's the only one still not over Jace BUT then, it turns out Jace has been miserable this entire time too. Alternating point of view would be fun but not necessary.
Magnus / Alec
* For Magnus and Alec just give me all that complex, messy get together stuff. Magnus is High Warlock and Alec runs an Institute and they're both supposed to protect different interests. Fill in those canon gaps, their mutual angst, how they chose each other while still being loyal to what they stand for. On the other hand, show me all their dates in between, how they can't help but fall in love, all of them being cute and in love.
Harry Potter
Harry Potter / Ron Weasley
* Ron and Harry are the loves of my life. Give me any version of friends to lovers in the HP verse. Want them to be Aurors that fall in love? Want them to be professors? Want them to be Quidditch players? You do you. I am here for any friends to lovers set at any time in any place.
Albus Dumbledore / Gellert Grindelwald
* Grindelwald is supposed to be a Seer and I would love an exploration of that. What does it mean when he meets Dumbledore? Does he know what's going to happen? How does that affect their first meeting and their relationship? Want to give them a happy ending? I'm down.
* A canon AU where Gellert never becomes a Dark wizard. What happens to "For the greater good?" How do Gellert and Albus go from wanting to rule over Muggles to them leaving that behind and staying together? Does Ariana still die and if so, how does Albus move past that? Does Ariana live? Then what happens between Albus and Gellert given that Albus has to stay and take care of his siblings while Aberforth finishes school?
* A canon AU where everything happens the same but Gellert serves his jail sentence and is released. What happens when he and Albus see each other again? Do they see each other again? Do they write to each other? Epistolary fic would be welcome here.
Sirius Black / James Potter
* Sirius and James have so much angst potential. I would love anything about them wanting to be together and not knowing how. Them in school sneaking around, trying to figure out how they fit. Them after Hogwarts, sneaking around trying to build something. Wouldn't mind angst as long as there's a hopeful ending or happy ending. I would even take a bittersweet ending.
* A canon AU where James and Lily live and Voldemort is gone. Harry is alive and Sirius is still his godfather. What happens when James tells Sirius that he and Lily are splitting up? Has Sirius been secretly in love with James all this time? Is James in love with Sirius now? Was there pining in school? Is there pining now because they can't be together yet, or maybe they want to but each think the other isn't interested?
Draco Malfoy / Blaise Zabini
* any type of rivals to lovers. whether that be in school or after. Maybe they run competing businesses and Draco is tired of how well Blaise's business is doing, especially because everyone knows the only reason Blaise has customers is because he's hot.
* friends with benefits to lovers. I like the idea of two upper-class dudes thinking that they're above falling for their fuck buddy and then BAM they catch feelings. I would also love any exploration of upper-class wizarding society and how Blaise and Draco fit in there. How does it complicate their arrangement?
Luna Lovegood / Ginny Weasley
* I am interested in anything after the war. How do the girls heal from the things they've seen? How are they moving on from losing so many people? How does their relationship play a part in their healing?
* a roadtrip AU where Ginny and Luna go off into the sunset together as friends and come back as lovers. Where do they go? What do they see? How many stray kittens does Luna pick up on the road?
Teen Wolf
I adore Scott McCall with all of my heart and I especially love the headcanon where he is Mexican American like Tyler Posey. That said, it's not necessary to include any references to his ethnicity unless you really want to, but I would appreciate not whitewashing Scott McCall in art. Also, very specifically with Scott McCall, I would appreciate that he not be referred to as "dumb" by any of the other characters.
* Scott and Stiles falling in love in any way, shape, or form. In whatever setting, whatever AU, anytime. Them going off to college together. How their lives fit, whether they're meant to be from the start or if it's more complicated than that.
* Anything and everything having to do with Scott/Stiles or Danny/Jackson. In any way. Friends, boyfriends, roommates, brothers-in-law, husbands etc. Bonus points for keeping their exact relationship on the show but making them boyfriends or husbands. Send them Christmas shopping for the rest of the pack. Send them on vacation. Slice of life. I will happily read 4u930832-932k of best friends in love being domestic.
* Danny and Jackson have been married for months but they never got around to telling the rest of their friends. Why that is is up to you. I would even take a "they forgot" or didn't think it was important. But I love the idea of the pack getting together or even Jackson and Danny throwing a fancy part and everyone getting dressed up and fancy and then finding out Jackson and Danny at said party. How they find out is up to you. You can go serious or you can go light-hearted and fluffy. Who is the most betrayed? Who is not in the least bit surprised? Who is already planning a first-year anniversary party that is essentially a redo of the wedding but with all their friends there?
* Scott leaving Beacon Hills and what that means for him when he's spent his youth protecting it. How does the person of your choice (Isaac, Jackson, Stiles, Danny) help him through it? Do they help him? How does Scott's new freedom affect his relationship with the character of your choice? Would love anything with Scott's canon latino heritage. Extra bonus points if Scott is half-Mexican like Tyler Posey. But please don't feel the need to delve into this if it's not your strong suit. I don't mind just general canon Scott.
* I like the teen wolf lore and would appreciate anything about Allison's family legacy. What does it mean for Allison when she falls in love with Kira (a kitsune) or Lydia (a banshee). The complexities of upholding a family legacy, especially now that her mom is dead, and falling in love with who she's supposed to be hunting.
* Kira falling in love with any of the Teen Wolf girls. Would love something soft if the pairing is with Malia. A chronicle of Kira's developing relationship with the lady of your choice. Road Trip AU, a day out at the beach, a trip to visit colleges.
Some more general Teen Wolf prompts:
a. Character A and Character B as next door neighbors who share a cat. How they happened to end up sharing a cat is up to you. Could be that the cat belong to one of them and the other thought it didn't have an owner because it lost its collar. Could be that they used to be together and bought a cat together and now have joint custody. Whatever you like.
b. Any of lady/lady get snowed in and have to spend the weekend together. Bonus points for it being an old apartment with terrible heating/no heating and they have to curl up on the sofa to keep warm. Extra bonus points for ugly Christmas sweaters and hot cocoa to keep warm. Super extra bonus points if you include the least refined Christmas tree possible.
c. future fic about any character(s) and what they're doing now that they've finished undergrad. Do they stay in Beacon Hills? Do they leave? Who moves to New York? Who stays despite always wanting to leave? The more nostalgic the better.
Marvel Cinematic Universe
Bucky Barnes / Sam Wilson
* friends to lovers: any variation of Sam and Bucky being forced to work together and then realizing that they don't actually hate each other. Would love it if Bucky is the one who realizes he likes Sam first. Just give me all that pining and UST.
* case fic: Sam's called to handle a Hydra Base or an alien emergency and Bucky comes along. Maybe one of them gets hurt and the other one has to save him. Maybe everything works out fine but they get snowed in and have to spend the night in a cold, empty Hydra base. Would love either an established relationship or a get-together fic.
* college AU where Sam is your local football (soccer) jock (or any sport really) and Bucky is the ex-football (soccer) player who quit because he got hurt in a game. Maybe Sam is trying to get Bucky to rejoin the team. Maybe Bucky's been waiting for an excuse to go back. Maybe, a beautiful man with great legs is exactly the excuse he needs.
James "Rhodey" Rhodes / Tony Stark
* FRIENDS TO LOVERS: set it wherever you like. can be in their college years, after college, post iron man, in an AU where Tony lives.
* College AU: where you have annoying genius Tony Stark whose personality clashes with everyone except, for some reason, the beautiful TA in his dorm building. Maybe they share some classes. Maybe Rhodey finds Tony interesting and hilarious. Maybe he doesn't. The possibilities are endless.
James Barnes / Steve Rogers
* a canon AU where Bucky doesn't fall and Steve joins him in the war. How do they get together? Were they already together? Give me all the war era angst and how much Steve and Bucky want to be together and think they can't. Do they sneak around? Do the Howling Commandos already know?
* Modern AU where Bucky decides he's done fighting and opens up an animal shelter. He doesn't tell Steve where he's going, only that he's okay. Maybe a few years down the line they run into each other. How have they both changed? Are they ready to try to be together? Does Bucky keep up with news about Steve?
* an AU where Steve and Bucky meet in high school, date, and then break up. They meet again when they're older. Give me all the angst of a breakup/makeup story. Is one of them divorced? Is one of them famous now? Do they meet because they both somehow end up being superheroes and now they're on the same superhero team?

It can be in the Shadowhunters canon or maybe they're in rival frats? Rival tech companies? Love that jock falls in love with local hot nerd trope. Give me all that tropey goodness.
* I enjoy canon AUs, so anything with Simon staying a vampire and how that affects his relationship with Jace would be nice.
* Maybe Simon doesn't know anything about the Shadow World and first comes in contact with it when Clary shows up at his door with some bleeding blond dude. What does Simon do? Who convinces Alec not to wipe Simon's memory?
* break up and make up fic is always great. I enjoy the angst of Simon thinking he's the only one still not over Jace BUT then, it turns out Jace has been miserable this entire time too. Alternating point of view would be fun but not necessary.
Magnus / Alec
* For Magnus and Alec just give me all that complex, messy get together stuff. Magnus is High Warlock and Alec runs an Institute and they're both supposed to protect different interests. Fill in those canon gaps, their mutual angst, how they chose each other while still being loyal to what they stand for. On the other hand, show me all their dates in between, how they can't help but fall in love, all of them being cute and in love.
Harry Potter
Harry Potter / Ron Weasley
* Ron and Harry are the loves of my life. Give me any version of friends to lovers in the HP verse. Want them to be Aurors that fall in love? Want them to be professors? Want them to be Quidditch players? You do you. I am here for any friends to lovers set at any time in any place.
Albus Dumbledore / Gellert Grindelwald
* Grindelwald is supposed to be a Seer and I would love an exploration of that. What does it mean when he meets Dumbledore? Does he know what's going to happen? How does that affect their first meeting and their relationship? Want to give them a happy ending? I'm down.
* A canon AU where Gellert never becomes a Dark wizard. What happens to "For the greater good?" How do Gellert and Albus go from wanting to rule over Muggles to them leaving that behind and staying together? Does Ariana still die and if so, how does Albus move past that? Does Ariana live? Then what happens between Albus and Gellert given that Albus has to stay and take care of his siblings while Aberforth finishes school?
* A canon AU where everything happens the same but Gellert serves his jail sentence and is released. What happens when he and Albus see each other again? Do they see each other again? Do they write to each other? Epistolary fic would be welcome here.
Sirius Black / James Potter
* Sirius and James have so much angst potential. I would love anything about them wanting to be together and not knowing how. Them in school sneaking around, trying to figure out how they fit. Them after Hogwarts, sneaking around trying to build something. Wouldn't mind angst as long as there's a hopeful ending or happy ending. I would even take a bittersweet ending.
* A canon AU where James and Lily live and Voldemort is gone. Harry is alive and Sirius is still his godfather. What happens when James tells Sirius that he and Lily are splitting up? Has Sirius been secretly in love with James all this time? Is James in love with Sirius now? Was there pining in school? Is there pining now because they can't be together yet, or maybe they want to but each think the other isn't interested?
Draco Malfoy / Blaise Zabini
* any type of rivals to lovers. whether that be in school or after. Maybe they run competing businesses and Draco is tired of how well Blaise's business is doing, especially because everyone knows the only reason Blaise has customers is because he's hot.
* friends with benefits to lovers. I like the idea of two upper-class dudes thinking that they're above falling for their fuck buddy and then BAM they catch feelings. I would also love any exploration of upper-class wizarding society and how Blaise and Draco fit in there. How does it complicate their arrangement?
Luna Lovegood / Ginny Weasley
* I am interested in anything after the war. How do the girls heal from the things they've seen? How are they moving on from losing so many people? How does their relationship play a part in their healing?
* a roadtrip AU where Ginny and Luna go off into the sunset together as friends and come back as lovers. Where do they go? What do they see? How many stray kittens does Luna pick up on the road?
Teen Wolf
I adore Scott McCall with all of my heart and I especially love the headcanon where he is Mexican American like Tyler Posey. That said, it's not necessary to include any references to his ethnicity unless you really want to, but I would appreciate not whitewashing Scott McCall in art. Also, very specifically with Scott McCall, I would appreciate that he not be referred to as "dumb" by any of the other characters.
* Scott and Stiles falling in love in any way, shape, or form. In whatever setting, whatever AU, anytime. Them going off to college together. How their lives fit, whether they're meant to be from the start or if it's more complicated than that.
* Anything and everything having to do with Scott/Stiles or Danny/Jackson. In any way. Friends, boyfriends, roommates, brothers-in-law, husbands etc. Bonus points for keeping their exact relationship on the show but making them boyfriends or husbands. Send them Christmas shopping for the rest of the pack. Send them on vacation. Slice of life. I will happily read 4u930832-932k of best friends in love being domestic.
* Danny and Jackson have been married for months but they never got around to telling the rest of their friends. Why that is is up to you. I would even take a "they forgot" or didn't think it was important. But I love the idea of the pack getting together or even Jackson and Danny throwing a fancy part and everyone getting dressed up and fancy and then finding out Jackson and Danny at said party. How they find out is up to you. You can go serious or you can go light-hearted and fluffy. Who is the most betrayed? Who is not in the least bit surprised? Who is already planning a first-year anniversary party that is essentially a redo of the wedding but with all their friends there?
* Scott leaving Beacon Hills and what that means for him when he's spent his youth protecting it. How does the person of your choice (Isaac, Jackson, Stiles, Danny) help him through it? Do they help him? How does Scott's new freedom affect his relationship with the character of your choice? Would love anything with Scott's canon latino heritage. Extra bonus points if Scott is half-Mexican like Tyler Posey. But please don't feel the need to delve into this if it's not your strong suit. I don't mind just general canon Scott.
* I like the teen wolf lore and would appreciate anything about Allison's family legacy. What does it mean for Allison when she falls in love with Kira (a kitsune) or Lydia (a banshee). The complexities of upholding a family legacy, especially now that her mom is dead, and falling in love with who she's supposed to be hunting.
* Kira falling in love with any of the Teen Wolf girls. Would love something soft if the pairing is with Malia. A chronicle of Kira's developing relationship with the lady of your choice. Road Trip AU, a day out at the beach, a trip to visit colleges.
Some more general Teen Wolf prompts:
a. Character A and Character B as next door neighbors who share a cat. How they happened to end up sharing a cat is up to you. Could be that the cat belong to one of them and the other thought it didn't have an owner because it lost its collar. Could be that they used to be together and bought a cat together and now have joint custody. Whatever you like.
b. Any of lady/lady get snowed in and have to spend the weekend together. Bonus points for it being an old apartment with terrible heating/no heating and they have to curl up on the sofa to keep warm. Extra bonus points for ugly Christmas sweaters and hot cocoa to keep warm. Super extra bonus points if you include the least refined Christmas tree possible.
c. future fic about any character(s) and what they're doing now that they've finished undergrad. Do they stay in Beacon Hills? Do they leave? Who moves to New York? Who stays despite always wanting to leave? The more nostalgic the better.
Marvel Cinematic Universe
Bucky Barnes / Sam Wilson
* friends to lovers: any variation of Sam and Bucky being forced to work together and then realizing that they don't actually hate each other. Would love it if Bucky is the one who realizes he likes Sam first. Just give me all that pining and UST.
* case fic: Sam's called to handle a Hydra Base or an alien emergency and Bucky comes along. Maybe one of them gets hurt and the other one has to save him. Maybe everything works out fine but they get snowed in and have to spend the night in a cold, empty Hydra base. Would love either an established relationship or a get-together fic.
* college AU where Sam is your local football (soccer) jock (or any sport really) and Bucky is the ex-football (soccer) player who quit because he got hurt in a game. Maybe Sam is trying to get Bucky to rejoin the team. Maybe Bucky's been waiting for an excuse to go back. Maybe, a beautiful man with great legs is exactly the excuse he needs.
James "Rhodey" Rhodes / Tony Stark
* FRIENDS TO LOVERS: set it wherever you like. can be in their college years, after college, post iron man, in an AU where Tony lives.
* College AU: where you have annoying genius Tony Stark whose personality clashes with everyone except, for some reason, the beautiful TA in his dorm building. Maybe they share some classes. Maybe Rhodey finds Tony interesting and hilarious. Maybe he doesn't. The possibilities are endless.
James Barnes / Steve Rogers
* a canon AU where Bucky doesn't fall and Steve joins him in the war. How do they get together? Were they already together? Give me all the war era angst and how much Steve and Bucky want to be together and think they can't. Do they sneak around? Do the Howling Commandos already know?
* Modern AU where Bucky decides he's done fighting and opens up an animal shelter. He doesn't tell Steve where he's going, only that he's okay. Maybe a few years down the line they run into each other. How have they both changed? Are they ready to try to be together? Does Bucky keep up with news about Steve?
* an AU where Steve and Bucky meet in high school, date, and then break up. They meet again when they're older. Give me all the angst of a breakup/makeup story. Is one of them divorced? Is one of them famous now? Do they meet because they both somehow end up being superheroes and now they're on the same superhero team?
