CHAPTER 6

Zhou Mi was in heaven. That was the only answer he could come up with. He was so happy he was surprised he wasn’t floating off into space. There should be something happening. Where were the fireworks?

Oh, who cared?

HENRY LIKED HIM!

Henry was jealous of…of what?

Zhou Mi frowned. What was Henry jealous of? Siwon? Hankyung? Kyuhyun? But, Henry had said that he was flirting with everyone. And Zhou Mi knew for a fact that he had never flirted with any of the others, except maybe Hankyung, but Henry hadn’t been around for that. And besides, it was all done in the name of an experiment.

Maybe Henry had noticed something he, Zhou Mi, had missed. Maybe everyone was flirting with him. He gasped. That would explain why Yesung was so angry with Siwon. That would explain why Heechul glared a hole though him every time he saw Zhou Mi and Hankyung together. That would also explain Eunhyuk’s outburst.

“Wow.” Zhou Mi said softly.

He had never expected something like this. He thought he was supposed to be the flirt. Wasn’t he the one with that reputation? And now here he was, being flirted with by men who had boyfriends. It might have been a little ego boosting, if Henry weren’t so jealous over it.

Zhou Mi’s smile was back.

Henry was jealous. Henry liked him. He liked Henry. They could certainly get this Zhou Ri thing going. All he needed to do was stop all the flirting from all the others. He’d have to have a talk with them.

But, who cared? He was so happy right now. So happy in fact that he would probably kiss the next person who walked around the corner. Who knew, it might be Henry.

It wasn’t Henry.

It was Sungmin.

Zhou Mi shrugged. A promise was a promise. He flung himself at Sungmin.

“I love you hyung.” Zhou Mi exclaimed then buried Sungmin under a pile of kisses.

“Ah! Zhou Mi! What are you doing?”

“Kissing you!” Zhou Mi said as he continued.

“Get off!”

“I love you Minnie Min!”

“Mi!”

Zhou Mi turned around with Sungmin still in his arms. He beamed into Kyuhyun’s scowling face and proceeded to attack Sungmin.

“Get off of him.” Kyuhyun said voice low and dangerous.

Zhou Mi blinked but let go of Sungmin. He knew better than to ignore Kyuhyun when he got like that.

“Kyu.” Sungmin gasped rushing over to Kyuhyun. “He’s going crazy.”

“It’s okay Min.” Kyuhyun said wrapping Sungmin into a hug. “I’ll deal with this. Go wait for me at your dorm. I’ll be there soon.”

Zhou Mi watched Sungmin hurry away. He frowned.

“Kui Xian, what was that?”

“What was that? Seriously Mi? What was that? How can you even ask that question? What were you doing?”

“I was hugging Sungmin hyung. Why?” Zhou Mi answered.

“Zhou Mi, Sungmin is mine. He’s my boyfriend. Get away from him.”

“But, he’s my friend too.”

Kyuhyun sighed. “You have enough friends Mi.”

Zhou Mi watched Kyuhyun. He didn’t like the look in Kyuhyun’s eyes and he definitely didn’t like the smirk. Zhou Mi made a mental note never to get Kyuhyun angry. The younger man looked scary when he was angry.

“I hear you’re getting along well with Hankyung and Siwon hyungs. I hear you got Heechul and Yesung into a big jealous mess. And Eunhyuk and Donghae too. You sure work fast Mi.”

“I…what? Of course I’m getting along well with them. I’ve known Han Geng-ge all my life. Why wouldn’t we get along well? And as for Siwon, well, he could learn a few manners, but I like him enough.”

“No Zhou Mi.” Kyuhyun sighed. “I’m talking about you flirting with them.”

“I’m what?” Zhou Mi laughed. “Oh, Kui Xian, you say the funniest things. Of course I’m not flirting with them. Well, except for that one time with Han Geng-ge, but that was just for experimental purposes. Otherwise, I haven’t flirted with anyone.”

Kyuhyun just stared. There was no way Zhou Mi was actually saying that. But, who was he kidding. Zhou Mi was worse than Yesung when it came to his actions. For all Kyuhyun knew, Zhou Mi hadn’t been stripping down Siwon in the bathroom. It could have been that Zhou Mi liked Siwon’s shirt or something else that ridiculous. Maybe Yesung had come in at the wrong time.

And then there was the whole feeling up Eunhyuk. That probably was Zhou Mi trying to be helpful and not knowing how. Zhou Mi did have an issue with boundaries. Then Donghae, well, Donghae was a known flirt and Zhou Mi was attracted to the obnoxious flirty ones, so it was no surprise that Zhou Mi would unintentionally be drawn to Donghae.

Everyone was probably exaggerating. Henry most certainly was exaggerating, going on about how Zhou Mi would flirt with anything that moved. Heechul would always exaggerate.

“What were you doing with Sungmin then?” Kyuhyun asked.

“I was hugging him. See, Henry. I was talking to Henry and guess what he said.”

Kyuhyun shrugged. “He’s upset that he ever met you and can’t wait until he finds a ticket back to Canada?”

Zhou Mi blinked, but broke out into a smile anyway.

“Nope.”

“Then what?”

Zhou Mi was practically melting with glee and it was making Kyuhyun nauseous.

“Hurry up and tell me. I need to get back to my life.”

“He said he was jealous!”

“Of what?” Kyuhyun asked. “Oh, that’s right. You flirt with everyone.”

“I do not.”

Kyuhyun rolled his eyes. He knew it wasn’t true. And normally he wouldn’t have burst Zhou Mi’s bubble like that, but Zhou Mi had been kissing his boyfriend. And Zhou Mi had been pretty much suffocating Sungmin under that hug. Kyuhyun thought that Zhou Mi warranted some type of punishment and until he could thing of one, he would have to settle for this.

“Zhou Mi.” Kyuhyun said. “Let me clarify something for you. When you get caught with your hands under someone else’s boyfriend’s shirt, that qualifies as cheating, for them anyway. And it makes you a boyfriend stealer. And when you get caught on your best friends lap when said best friend has a boyfriend then that also makes you a boyfriend stealer. Mi, Henry has every right to be jealous.”

“But, I never did that.” Zhou Mi frowned. “You don’t think Henry’s upset over that, do you? I mean, I didn’t do anything. Maybe I should go explain.”

“No, don’t.” Kyuhyun said. “Let Henry have his time. He needs to work things out on his own. You can talk to him once he’s calmed down.”

“Oh Okay. Thanks.”

“No problem Mi.”

No problem at all. Because now, Kyuhyun knew exactly what he was going to do. He was over being angry at Zhou Mi. Who could ever be angry at Zhou Mi anyway? But, now he had an idea.

He wanted an interesting last year. Well he was going to get one.

He was going to see exactly how well Zhou Mi would react to eight different people smothering Henry. But, for that, he needed eight people and he knew exactly where to find them.

                                                                                     ***

Kyuhyun made his way back to the dorm slowly. He had no need to get there any faster than he was going. He had to find everyone else and get them all in the same room too. So, he was going to find Sungmin and then they’d split the work between the two of them.

He certainly was working hard just for his own entertainment. But, then again, would he trust someone else to make it work exactly right?

No.

He walked over to Sungmin’s dorm and was glad to see that Eunhyuk and Donghae were there.

“Hey hyungs.” Kyuhyun said purposefully sitting in between Eunhyuk and Donghae. “I wanted to talk to you all about something.”

“About what?” Donghae asked as he tried to shove Kyuhyun off the couch.

“It’s about Zhou Mi.”

That made Donghae stop. Kyuhyun smirked. He liked where this was going.

“It’s important, but I need everyone else to be here too.”

“Why?” Eunhyuk asked.

“You’ll see.” Kyu said getting up. “I’ll go get Hankyung hyung and Heechul and Yesung and Siwon. Wait here and don’t move. If Henry comes by go get Zhou Mi and throw Henry at him. That’ll keep the two of them busy for a while.”

“Zhou Mi? Henry?”

“Donghae hyung, open your eyes. I’ll be back.”

And Kyuhyun was true to his word. He found Hankyung and Heechul sitting down under a tree, talking. Like that was the normal thing to do when they had alone time together. He didn’t understand those two. When people were around they couldn’t keep their hands off each other and when they had time alone they spent it talking.

“Hyungs I need to talk to you.” Kyuhyun said.

“No you don’t. Go away.” Heechul said. “We’re busy.”

Kyuhyun smirked. “No you’re not.”

“What is it Kyu?” Hankyung asked holding Heechul down with his free hand.

“We need to talk about Zhou Mi.”

“Yes we do.” Heechul said immediately.

“No, we don’t. Leave Mi alone.” Hankyung said. “He hasn’t done anything wrong.”

“Oh he hasn’t?” Heechul asked and Kyuhyun had to hide his smirk.

“No, Heechul, he hasn’t.” Hankyung answered. “He didn’t do anything. I’ve wrapped my head around that. Leave him alone. He’s been well behaved.”

“Sitting on your lap is well behaved?”

“We went over that already.”

“I want to hear what Kyuhyun has to say.”

“Okay. Go.”

“You’re not coming?”

“No.”

“Fine, but if you don’t come, I’ll never leave Zhou Mi alone ever again. I’ll follow him even in his dreams Hankyung or should I call you Han Geng? Will you come then?”

Kyuhyun coughed to hide his laugh. This was better than a movie. And he didn’t even have to do anything. Heechul was doing his work for him.

“Heechul, why are we arguing over this again? Zhou Mi calls me Han Geng because that’s my name. We’ve been Zhou Mi and Han Geng since we were little.”

“Then come. If it means nothing come.”

Hankyung sighed but stood up. “I’m only going because you want me to go and because I love you and will put up with your insecurities for the rest of my life and because your father told me that it’s best if I just do what you say. And because your mother is such a beautiful, sweet woman and I promised her I would take care of you. And because there is nothing going on with me and Zhou Mi. And because I’m just that kind of person. And—”

Kyuhyun turned to thank Heechul for shutting Hankyung up, but regretted it when he saw exactly how Heechul had managed to shut Hankyung up.

“Ugh, will you two get a room. Seriously, sometimes I think you two have a public fetish or something. Couldn’t you have done that when I wasn’t here?”

Hankyung waved him away, his lips still attached to Heechul’s.

“Okay, fine. I’ll see you in Sungmin’s dorm in twenty minutes.”

He heard a vague yes and left them there. Twenty minutes was enough in his opinion. If he gave them more time, he’d never see either of them again.

Kyuhyun found Yesung and Siwon at the café near the school. He had been expecting that because Siwon and Yesung were a bunch of coffee freaks. He had never met two people more obsessed with coffee.

“Hello hyung!” Kyuhyun said hugging Yesung and sitting next to him on the stool.

He ignored the look from Siwon and picked up the menu. He skimmed through it not really wanting anything. He just liked getting on Siwon’s nerves. It was another form of entertainment. He liked watching the way Siwon would struggle to keep calm.

“Hello Kyuhyun.” Yesung said. “What brings you here?”

“I need to take you back to Sungmin’s dorm hyung. Hankyung hyung wants us all to go there now.” Kyuhyun lied smoothly.

“Now? For what?” Siwon asked.

“For something. Now come.” Kyuhyun said taking Yesung’s hand and pulling him out the door.

He dragged Yesung back to the dorm with Siwon following beside them. When he got back everyone was there.

“Okay, we’re here. What do you want now?” Eunhyuk asked putting his feet on Donghae’s lap when Kyuhyun made to sit down.

“Has anyone noticed how friendly Zhou Mi’s being?” Kyuhyun asked getting straight to the point.

“Yes!” Eunhyuk and Donghae said.

“Well…oh god, will you two get a room!” Kyuhyun said plopping himself down between Hankyung and Heechul.

He ignored their protests and continued. “It wasn’t only Hankyung hyung. It was Siwon hyung and Eunhyuk and Donghae and even Sungmin hyung. He’s been trying to seduce everyone within a mile radius. The only reason he hasn’t done anything to Heechul or Yesung is because he knows Heechul would kill him and Yesung hyung wouldn’t notice.”

Kyuhyun waited for the news to sink in. He saw how the others looked at each other. And he almost laughed when he realized that all of them had been thinking that Zhou Mi’s treatments were for them only. The only one who didn’t seem the least bit fazed was Hankyung, but Kyuhyun was sure that was because Hankyung had trained his expressions for years.

“You too?”

“Yeah. He was all over Hyukkie too.”

“Guys, we have to do something. Zhou Mi is going to go crazy.”

“Yeah, next thing you know, he’ll be trying to steal Yesung.”

“He won’t. Yesung’s too dense to realize when someone’s flirting with him.”

“Heechul.”

“What? You know it’s true. What did you have to do to get him to go out with you?”

“I’m not talking about that.”

“See, you always do that! I hate you.”

“Heechul.”

Kyuhyun sighed. He got up slowly and closed the door before Heechul could leave.

“Move Kyuhyun.”

“No.” Kyuhyun said leaning against the door.

“Move.” Heechul said leaning forward dangerously close. “Move or I’ll move you.”

Kyuhyun just leaned forward so that he could whisper and know for sure that Heechul would hear.

“We have to do something to get back at Zhou Mi don’t we?”

He saw the surprised look on Heechul’s face, but it was replaced by pure joy in seconds.

“What are you thinking?” Heechul asked as everyone around them leaned in to listen.

“Who does Zhou Mi like?” Kyuhyun asked his eyes on Heechul.

Kyuhyun was the first to see the evil smile on Heechul’s face. He made a mental note never to upset Heechul. The man really was scary when he was angry or seeking revenge or both.

“Henry.”

Kyuhyun just smirked.

“I’m not doing this.” Hankyung said moving away.

“Oh yes you are.” Heechul snapped. “You’ll do this and you’ll like it.”

CHAPTER 7

Zhou Mi was looking for Henry. He couldn’t find him anywhere and he still needed to explain. He had given up on Kyuhyun’s advice, because really, who would ever listen to Kyuhyun? It had taken Kyuhyun months to ask Zhou Mi out and from what he’d heard things hadn’t been easy with Sungmin.

Kyuhyun knew next to nothing about the intricate designs of love and seduction. It was a miracle he actually had a boyfriend. Then again, Sungmin probably had done most of the chasing in that relationship.

“Hey Zhou Mi!”

“Hi.” Zhou Mi said as Eunhyuk limped towards him.

“I need your help.” Eunhyuk said draping himself over Zhou Mi. “Walk me to my dorm please.”

“Okay.”

Zhou Mi was careful to keep Eunhyuk off his bad leg. He’d have to ask how that was going and instruct Eunhyuk on how to care for that leg. He couldn’t have their dance king bedridden forever. Speaking of dancing, he had to find Henry.

“There you go.” Zhou Mi said as he helped Eunhyuk to the couch.

“Wait Mimi. Can you stay with me?”

Mimi? Zhou Mi frowned. Only Henry called him Mimi.

“I’m sorry Eunhyuk. I have to go find Henry.” Zhou Mi said.

“Please.” Eunhyuk pouted. “Just a second. I think Henry’s here anyway. He’s been locked up with Heechul and Hankyung hyung for hours.”

“Heechul? What’s he doing with Heechul?” Zhou Mi asked frowning at Henry’s closed door.

Henry really shouldn’t be left alone with Heechul, especially if Hankyung was there too. Alone Hankyung was the best person to have around, but when he got together with Heechul. Well, let’s just say, that if there was anyone who could scare Henry back into heterosexuality, it was Hanchul.

“Wait, I can’t leave Henry in there.” Zhou Mi said going for the door.

“Yes you can.” Eunhyuk said. “Come here and sit with me.”

Zhou Mi threw one more worried glance at the door and sat down next to Eunhyuk. He vaguely heard Eunhyuk sating something to him, but he wasn’t paying attention.

He jumped up when the door burst open and Henry ran out. Heechul followed him.

“Henry come back, we’re not done yet.”

“Yes we are.”

Zhou Mi reached for Henry, but Donghae who had just come through the door flung himself at the poor maknae.

“Henry! I missed you.”

“Hey hyung.” Henry said nervously edging away from Heechul. “I missed you too.”

“Really?” Donghae asked smiling like he’d been told the secret to eternal happiness. “I love you Henry!”

Zhou Mi watched the scene before him and wondered what was going on. What had happened to people fawning over him? Why was everyone so interested in Henry all of a sudden? Where was Hankyung and why wasn’t he doing anything?

“Where’s Han Geng-ge?” Zhou Mi asked.

“Oh, he’s somewhere.” Heechul said waiving towards Henry’s room. “Hand him over Donghae. I want to pinch his cheeks.”

“No, you can’t. I want him to sit with me.”

“Who wants who to sit with who?” Siwon asked as he came in followed by Yesung, Kyuhyun and Sungmin.

“Henry.” Donghae answered pulling Henry along to the couch.

“But, I want Henry to sit with me.” Yesung said stopping Donghae.

“Who cares?” Eunhyuk called from his position on the couch. “He wants to sit with me.”

“Where’s Han Geng-ge?” Zhou Mi repeated wondering when the world had gone insane.

Why was everyone being so weird? Why was everyone piling over Henry? The poor thing looked terrified out of his mind. Maybe he should say something? But, Hankyung had told him to stay away, not that he’d listened. And this time Henry needed him. He looked like he wanted nothing more than to be saved from the others.

“Who cares where Hankyung went.” Heechul said clearly angry over something.

“I do.” Zhou Mi said.

“I’m right here Mi.”

Zhou Mi looked up glad to see one sane person in the room. Hankyung was leaning against Henry’s doorframe. The look on his face was apologetic. Zhou Mi motioned to the mess of people all trying to take Henry for themselves.

Hankyung shrugged and sat down next to Eunhyuk.

So, Zhou Mi was alone then.

“Guys,” He said. “What are you doing?”

“What do you think we’re doing?” Heechul asked.

“I don’t know.” Zhou Mi answered honestly. “But whatever you’re doing is scaring Henry.”

“No it isn’t.” Kyuhyun said, “Henry’s just fine. He likes all of our attention and we love giving it to him.”

“I do n—”

Henry was cut off by Siwon who had taken that time to pull Henry into a tight hug. Zhou Mi shook his head. What exactly was going on here?

“Han Geng-ge,” Zhou Mi said. “What is going on? Why is everyone acting so weird?”

Hankyung laughed. “Mi, if I knew the answer to that question I would be a rich man. No one knows what goes inside their heads. Just leave it alone and come sit here until they’re all done.”

“But Henry. Aren’t you going to help Henry?”

Zhou Mi didn’t understand. This wasn’t how the world worked. Hankyung had to say something. Hankyung was supposed to stop whatever was happening. And no one was supposed to be all over Henry like that. If anything, he was the only one who ever climbed over people like that.

“Guys,” Zhou Mi asked moving to them carefully. “What are you doing to Henry? Leave him alone.”

“We don’t want to.” Heechul said. “Now go along and play with Hankyung or Siwon or Eunhyuk.”

Zhou Mi looked at Hankyung who just shook his head.

“Why would I go play with Han Geng-ge? Or Siwon or even Eunhyuk for that matter? They have boyfriends.”

Eight pairs of eyes turned to look at him or more like seven and Kyuhyun who had to do it or he would look suspicious.

“What!?” Heechul snapped. “You realize this now? Why didn’t you realize that when you were sitting on Hankyung’s lap?”

“Or when you had your hands all over Eunhyuk?”

“Or when you were undressing Siwon?”

“Ow, what Min? Oh, right. Or when you were kissing Sungmin?”

Zhou Mi blinked. “What? I wasn’t undressing Siwon. I liked his shirt. And Kui Xian said I should see who I looked best with. He told me to try Han Geng-ge first since he’s the best. And then he said I should see what I looked like with Siwon and Donghae and Eunhyuk just so that I could have an idea of who I looked best with. That way when I started looking for someone else, I would know who my ideal type was. Kui Xian thought it was a good idea. He was very enthusiastic about it.”

“Kyuhyun, huh?” Heechul said eyeing the younger man.

“Yeah.” Zhou Mi said wide eyed and confused. “I wasn’t flirting with anyone Henry, honest.”

“Oh god, hyung help me.” Henry said running into Zhou Mi’s arms. “Don’t leave me here with them.”

“It’s okay Henry.” Zhou Mi said smiling as he pulled walked Henry out of the dorm. “I like you better than any of them anyway.”

He walked away with Henry tucked under his arm and heard a vague.

“I didn’t do it, I swear.”

He just smiled.

                                                                                         ***

“Okay, so tell me that again one more time, but a lot slower so I can understand.” Eunhyuk said.

“I said that I just saw Zhou Mi and Henry in some corner talking very close together. I could have sworn they weren’t just talking.” Sungmin repeated for the fifth time.

“No way. Zhou Mi and Henry? Our Henry?” Donghae asked. “I thought it was just Zhou Mi that liked Henry. I didn’t know Henry liked Zhou Mi.”

“Well apparently Henry does like Zhou Mi since they were making out in a corner.” Sungmin whispered to the two in front of him.

“What are you guys talking about?” Kyuhyun asked sitting down and pulling Sungmin next to him.

“Hmph, as if you would want to know.” Eunhyuk said moving away. “If we tell you next thing we know there’ll be a scandal.”

Kyuhyun rolled his eyes. “Are you still stuck on that? That happened so long ago no one even remembers that.”

“I remember.” Heechul said shoving Kyuhyun off the couch. “And Hankyung remembers too. He’s off right now preparing some sort of speech for graduation, but he remembers. He’s still not over how you manipulated innocent Zhou Mi.”

“Innocent?” Sungmin laughed pulling Kyuhyun up. “He’s not so innocent. I swear I just saw him and Henry in a corner of the library.”

Heechul laughed. “Now we know why Henry spends so much time there.”

“Why who spends so much time where?” Siwon asked.

“What do you want?” Heechul asked moving over to make room for him anyway. “Where’s Yesung?”

“Off with Hankyung hyung helping him with something.”

“You left them alone!?”

“Yeah. Why?”

Everyone turned to gape at him. Siwon was just a little too dense sometimes. Maybe that’s why he and Yesung made such a great little couple. Well, that and the fact that they just looked so adorable together. Yesung was so tiny and Siwon was so tall and imposing. It was meant to be.

“Why would you leave them alone?” Heechul asked as he stood up. “You never know what Yesung could be doing. I have to go find them. Where were they?”

“Recording room.”

“You’re useless Siwon, did you know that?”

“I love you too hyung.” Siwon called out.

They all heard a vague muttering and decided that they didn’t want to know what Heechul was saying. Heechul and Hankyung were a match made in someone’s crazy imagination. Where Heechul was insecure, Hankyung shone. Where Heechul was self-loving and slightly obnoxious, Hankyung was calm and loved everyone. Where Heechul was Heechul, Hankyung was Hankyung. The two were still a mystery, still made people wonder how they worked, but the fact was that they worked. And really what more was needed. Love was love.

“I really should go protect Yesung from Heechul. I’ll see you guys around.” Siwon said as he left the room.

“So, Min, how long do you think the two have been seeing each other?” Eunhyuk asked.

“Oh ever since that night.” Sungmin said moving over so that Kyuhyun could sit down. “It’s obvious. Why else would they seem so close already?”

“But they didn’t tell us.” Donghae said. “Why wouldn’t they tell us?”

“Because Hankyung was already having a fit at Kyuhyun. He really didn’t need anything else added to that at the moment.” Sungmin said as if it were obvious.

“But what about later?” Eunhyuk asked.

“Min,” Kyuhyun complained. “I’m bored. Let’s do something fun.”

“Like what?” Sungmin asked patting Kyuhyun’s head.

“I’ll show you.” Kyuhyun said his smile replaced by his famous smirk. “Let’s go to your room.”

And so they did. Sungmin and Kyuhyun. Kyuhyun and Sungmin. How that worked out was even more of a mystery than Hanchul. Sungmin was hyper and happy. Kyuhyun was snarky and mean. You would think that there should have been something wrong there, that maybe they wouldn’t work. But, it all came down to the fact that Kyuhyun loved Sungmin and that Sungmin loved Kyuhyun. And they could make anything work as long as they had that.

“Hey, Hae?”

“Yeah?”

“Do you really think that Mi and Henry have been having a secret relationship these past months?”

“Probably. You know how sneaky Henry can be. He never did do your laundry.”

“That’s because we never asked him to. You did it for me.” Eunhyuk said leaning on Donghae’s shoulder. “Thank you for that.”

“Don’t thank me. You know I would do that and so much more for you Hyukkie.”

“I know.”

They were quiet for a minute enjoying the peace that they rarely had. No one else but them finally.

“Hey Hyukkie.”

“Yes?”

“Want to know what fun Sungmin and Kyuhyun are having?”

“I know already. You don’t have to tell me. I’m traumatized enough as it is.”

“I didn’t mean tell you.” Donghae whispered into Eunhyuk’s ear. “I meant show you.”

What was there to say about Eunhyuk and Donghae? Eunhae was Eunhae.

                                                                                              ***

“Zhou Mi?”

“Yes?” Zhou Mi asked.

“Do you think it’s weird that I liked you so fast? I mean I was dating girls before I came here.”

Zhou Mi laughed. He was sitting with his back against the library wall, his legs stretched out in front of him, an arm around Henry who was leaning against his side and a book open in front of them. Zhou Mi had been reading to Henry and before that they’d been showing each other just how happy they were to be together.

“I don’t think it’s weird at all.” Zhou Mi said.

“Okay.” Henry said settling back into Zhou Mi’s arms. “Keep reading.”

Zhou Mi laughed. “Do you honestly like Chinese history so much?”

“No,” Henry said. “But, I like to hear your voice.”

“But, what if I’m tired?” Zhou Mi pouted.

“You’re not so keep reading.”

“But I am.” Zhou Mi insisted.

“No, you’re not. You love to hear your voice.”

“No,” Zhou Mi leaned in to whisper. “You love my voice.”

Henry shoved him away. “I do not!”

Zhou Mi laughed earning a glare from the librarian who had been walking around to check something. He stifled his laughter and settled for a wide grin instead.

“Come back here Henry.” He said patting the empty spot next to him.

“I don’t want to.”

“Henry.” Zhou Mi said blinking at the other man. “Please?”

“Oh fine. Only because I have to not because I want to.”

Zhou Mi leaned his head down on top of Henry’s and closed his eyes. He was happy. Henry was happy. It was nice, nice to have someone to protect, nice to have someone who cared about him, nice to have Henry.

“Keep reading.” Henry instructed.

“I thought you didn’t like my voice.”

“I don’t.” Henry smiled. “I just really like Chinese history.”
